The AI model is fully integrated in all versions of the software. The software is ready for immediate use and is ideally suited for both regular environments and air-gapped installations without internet access. Redactwizard is a technical tool for document processing. Its integrated optical character recognition (OCR) is based on locally executed, model-based OCR models. It converts text contained in images and scanned documents into machine-readable text and can also recognize handwritten documents. Recognition quality depends, among other factors, on image quality, resolution, orientation, legibility of the handwriting or text, and the complexity of the source material. Correct, complete, or error-free recognition is not guaranteed. In particular, handwritten, poorly legible, or unusually formatted documents may contain characters, words, or passages that are incorrectly recognized or not recognized at all. Recognized content must be independently reviewed before further use. Redactwizard DICOM Research is intended exclusively for research, education, training, evaluation, and other non-clinical applications. The software is not a medical device and is not intended for clinical diagnosis, the detection or assessment of diseases, the selection or monitoring of treatments, or other clinical decision-making processes. The results of image analysis and AI-assisted functions must not be used as the basis for diagnostic or therapeutic decisions. The software should preferably be used with anonymized, de-identified, or synthetic datasets. The user is responsible for ensuring the lawful use of processed data and for assessing and verifying the results produced. Notice regarding AI functions: The AI-assisted functions of all products offered are intended to support document processing, information extraction, information retrieval, text generation, and image analysis. AI models may produce incomplete, incorrect, or misleading results and do not guarantee accuracy or completeness. Automatically detected information, OCR text, redactions, document analyses, and AI-generated content must be independently reviewed before further use. In particular, when redacting confidential or personal information, users must ensure that all content requiring removal has been fully identified and effectively redacted. The software does not replace any required professional review and is not intended to serve as the sole basis for legal, medical, or other consequential decisions. The quality of results depends, among other factors, on the source material, the information available, and the technical characteristics of the model concerned. Users are responsible for assessing the suitability and accuracy of the results for their intended purpose.
